The species Bulnesia sarmientoi Lorentz ex Griseb (palo santo) from Argentina was found under significant trade until the Conference of the Parties No. 23 (PC_23) held in July 2017 in Geneva, Switzerland. The guiding premise of this project is to generate the conditions so that the management, territorial organization and management of forests with the presence of palo santo are optimized, with the purpose of promoting regional development and the conservation of this species, considering this approach at the landscape scale of the environmental and socioeconomic components, through an ecosystem approach. Likewise, the components of sustainable management at the farm scale will also be addressed, with a view to granting greater support to the issuance of Non-Harmful Extraction Reports (NDFD).
