The project is to ensure long-term sustainable conservation and management of Aquilaria malaccensis in eight North-eastern States of India and to develop a system for the identification, marking and traceability of agarwood products, including a registration system. The objectives are to prepare a non-detriment finding report and a conservation and management plan for A. malaccensis for the eight States in Northeast India; a marking and traceability system; a manual for the identification of agarwood product, and to conduct training workshops.
